Sixty Seahawks With Distinction Honors in Spring 2025 CAA Academic Roll

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The University of North Carolina Wilmington continues to shine academically, with sixty Seahawks earning “With Distinction” honors on the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Spring 2025 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

In total, 299 UNCW student-athletes were recognized for their academic success this spring, but it was the sixty who achieved perfect 4.0 GPAs that stood out for their exceptional achievement.

“We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes for their dedication in the classroom this past spring,” said Dr. Shannon Pease, UNCW Associate Athletic Director/Director of Student-Athlete Support Services. “Achieving 60 perfect 4.0 GPAs and over 87% earning CAA honors speaks volumes about their commitment to academic excellence. Their hard work, time management, and resilience continue to raise the bar and reflect the true spirit of what it means to be a Seahawk.”

Every UNCW athletics program posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with a combined department GPA of 3.503 across 19 programs; further underscoring the Seahawks’ consistent academic strength.

The recognition of Sixty Seahawks with Distinction Honors highlights the balance of athletics and academics, reinforcing UNCW’s status as a leader both on the field and in the classroom.
